There are no refunds of reservation deposits; however we do reschedule parties to an alternative rain/snow date in case of inclement weather.

·         Food for the animals is provided for our parties; food for people is not.

·         Sufficient Adult supervision must be provided to enable us to spend time with the children

and animals for safety issues.

·         Shoes need to be worn around horses, preferably full toed shoes. Absolutely NO bare feet!

·         No eating or drinking around animals.

·         Kissing the animals is highly discouraged no matter how cute they may be!

·         Washing/sanitizing hands after petting animals is mandatory for health issues.

·         Do not stick hands in mouth of animal or your mouth after petting the animals.(i.e. thumb sucking, sores, etc)

·         Liability waiver must be signed for each person participating.  Minor children need to have parent’s signature on form.  Persons will not be allowed to participate without a waiver on record.

·         Additional Services or Animals must be requested in writing, at an additional expense.

*We reserve the right to limit/deny service(s) to any person(s) for the health, safety & well-being of our animals.

 

Parking-To unload our animals and setup we need to park as close as possible to the location.  Our truck and trailer our 50 feet long.  A parking space needs to be provided for us as close as possible. Please arrange for that prior to your party.  If parking is not close and it takes us more time to unload, you will be billed an extra $25 for each 15 minutes we need to use.

 

Weight Limits-We have horses that allow for all weights, sizes or horse/cart. Just let us know what you need. We have a miniature horse that children may ride. The weight limit may not exceed 65 lbs. We also have Shetland Ponies to ride, depending on the size of the pony; weight limit may not exceed 85 lbs. Please make sure you order the right size of horse, we will turn children away if they are too large to ride.

 

At a birthday party we do not hitch a pony to a carousel, our handler always walks next to the pony.   This provides added security for the child and also means that we are interacting with the child during their ride, this
provides an educational advantage as the children are in direct contact with the handler and are free to ask any questions regarding the pony's care and training. Even though we are there interacting with the child, the very young should always have a parent walk with them

 

Care is taken at all times to ensure the safety of both the children and the animals.  Pony-Up handlers are careful to instruct children on how to behave near and on the ponies and petting zoo animals.  Here is a general guideline to help you instruct your guests.  

 

Pony Safety Rules:

·                     Approach a pony near its shoulder so it can see you

·                     Never approach a pony from directly behind.  That is a blind spot;.

·                     Never stand directly behind a pony.

·                     Don’t run or yell, You could spook the pony.

·                     Never put your hand in or near the pony’s mouth

Party Etiquette
For the safety of all involved, please:
·         Locate noisy and active games in an area away from the ponies.
·         Keep children in a line and not running wildly around the ponies before their turn.
·         Consider reserving a goat and bunny from us to help keep the children occupied.
·         Restrain all dogs to a secure area in your home, one which cannot be accessed by a child.  Strange dogs can make them nervous
·         Keep balls and sticks away from the pony ride area.
·         Do not stand or run behind ponies as this can startle them
·         Do not pull their pony tails!
·         Only one child on a pony at a time.
·         Speak quietly and move slowly as sudden movements and loud sounds may startle ponies.
·         Keep ride on toys far away from the pony and farm area.
·         Keep motorized and battery operated toys away from the pony and farm area.

Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk Agreement


The undersigned acknowledges that Programs offered through Ivie Acres Farm include the risk of personal injury to participants including me (and/or my child or legal charge, whose full name and aegis:________________________________________________ ).

Undersigned assumes all risk and liability resulting from participating in any Ivie Acres Farm Programs (and/or for his or her child or charge as applicable).


Undersigned agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless Ivie Acres Farm, its employees, agents, guest instructors, contractors, volunteers and venue owners from and against any and all liabilities, damages, medical costs, attorney's fees, etc. that I or my child/charge may incur arising out of a Ivie Acres Farm program whether or not caused by the acts, inactions or negligence of  Ivie Acres Farm, its employees, agents, guest instructors, contractors, volunteers, venue owners or other program participants. I take full responsibility for the actions and physical condition of myself and/or my child (children) in any Ivie Acres Farm.

Pony Parties  (TRAVEL FEE MAY APPLY)

 

Pony Rides:
Themed pony rides for your princess or knight, ornately decorated ponies and costume for the birthday child. Pony rides are handled by trained staff for maximum safety.  All ponies are hand-led.  

 

Pony and Mini Horse Rides:
If your little one (or even you) is intimidated by a larger animal, Honey, our mini horse rides children up to 50 lbs. Mini horse rides are handled by trained staff for maximum safety. 95.00 first hour, 75.00 each additional hour.  Two horses are better than one at $155.00 an hour, $100.00 for each additional hour.

Mini Horse Cart Rides:
Definitely different and LOTS of fun!  Honey, our mini horse, pulls a cart that can accommodate up to two adults. Cart rides are handled by trained staff for maximum safety. 125.00 the first hour and 100.00 each additional.

Wagon Rides: 
One of a kind and double the fun! A team of miniature horses pulls a wagonette that can accommodate up to one adult-6 children.  Wagon rides are handled by trained staff for maximum safety. 150.00 for first hour-125.00 each additional

 

Deluxe Package (additional $100) we will provide:

l  45 minutes of (3) Barnyard games for children with prizes.            Limit of 15 children.

l  Provide a personal party favor for each child.                      Limit of 15 children (over 15-additional $2.50 per child)
